Head of the Korostyshiv District Military Administration Yuriy Denisovets has announced the temporary suspension of "invincibility points" across the community. According to RBC-Ukraine, citing Denisovets's post on Facebook, the decision was made due to an improved power supply situation in the region. Local authorities emphasize that the measure is temporary and can be reviewed if the situation deteriorates.
A Temporary Respite Amid Stable Energy Supplies
"Invincibility points" are specially equipped premises where residents can take shelter during air raids and wait out potential power outages. Their operation typically intensifies during periods of mass blackouts. In the Korostyshiv community, according to Denisovets, the electricity supply situation has stabilized, allowing authorities to ease the burden on these facilities and temporarily switch them to standby mode. At the same time, the district military administration notes that this decision does not mean complete closure of the infrastructure: if energy supplies worsen, the points can be operationalized promptly.
Critical Infrastructure Facility Hit
Parallel to the announcement regarding the suspension of shelters, Denisovets reported that an enemy strike on a critical infrastructure facility was recorded in the district. According to him, there were no casualties resulting from the attack. Local authorities urged residents to remain calm, avoid panic, and rely solely on official information channels. They specifically emphasized the ban on sharing photographs and video materials from the strike site and operational services' work zones—such publications, the administration stated, could compromise security and hinder the work of response teams.
Calls to Residents: Do Not Ignore Air Raids
In an address to the population of the Korostyshiv community, authorities reminded citizens that air raid sirens remain mandatory to follow. Citizens are asked to arrive at shelters in a timely manner, look after the safety of family members, and not neglect behavioral rules under martial law. Even against the backdrop of temporary improvements in energy supplies, the district military administration stresses that the threat of air attacks persists, and readiness for evacuation must remain high.
SES: Over a Thousand Points and Special Equipment for the Winter Period
Against the backdrop of regional decisions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on the preparation of forces and assets to operate under severe winter conditions. According to the agency, more than a thousand "invincibility points" have been prepared across the country, alongside generators, water tankers, and special engineering equipment for rapid response to emergencies. The SES emphasizes that the winter period traditionally increases the load on the power system and requires an enhanced presence of rescue formations in the regions.
Energy Strategy: Decentralization and Multi-Level Protection
In a broader context, officials note that Ukraine is significantly better prepared for winter this year than in previous ones. According to Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko (Denis Shmyhal), measures to decentralize generation and multi-level protection of energy facilities against potential enemy attacks are being implemented across the country. According to the specialized department, these measures help mitigate the consequences of local grid damage and restore power supply to settlements faster, which in turn creates conditions for temporarily lifting the burden on temporary accommodation centers, as happened in the Korostyshiv community.
