During the night, a large-scale strike hit Ukrainian territory, during which the enemy deployed a wide range of weaponry. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia used ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. The country's airspace became saturated with enemy targets, requiring the air defense system to concentrate maximum efforts.

Scale of the Invasion and Air Defense Operations

According to a military report, the occupiers fired a significant amount of ammunition at Ukraine. 146 enemy drones were detected in the airspace. Defenders managed to neutralize part of the threat: by morning, three Iskander ballistic missiles and 129 drones had been shot down. Unfortunately, the remaining targets reached their destinations.

As a result of the attack, the impact of five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, one Kh-31P anti-radiation missile, and 16 strike drones was recorded. Strikes hit 15 different locations. Debris from downed equipment also fell on seven other sites. Meanwhile, the Kh-22/32 cruise missiles launched by the enemy failed to reach their targets.

Consequences of Strikes on Kyiv and Kharkiv

Special attention was paid to the capital during the night operation. Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles. As a result of the impacts, two people were killed. Earlier, on the night of July 14, strikes on the Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital were also carried out using ballistic weapons.

Kharkiv also became a target of aggressive actions. On the evening of July 15, the city was attacked by drones and an aviation bomb for several hours. As a result, fires broke out, and multi-story residential buildings were damaged. The situation in the region remains tense: on July 14, a drone hit an apartment in one of the high-rise buildings directly, causing a fire.
