For millions of Ukrainians, a decisive moment has arrived: today, July 31, marks the deadline for using funds accumulated on cards under the "National Cashback" program. This is the final opportunity to spend bonuses received during the first stage of the program, which was extended for the convenience of citizens.
Urgent Deadline: August 1 — Return to the Budget
Developers of the "Diia" app have issued an official reminder: accumulated funds can be used only until the end of the current day. As of August 1, the program mechanism will automatically return all unused balances on accounts to the state budget. This means that delaying during the final hours will result in the irreversible loss of funds.
The situation regarding the extension of deadlines arose because the first stage of the program, which began in May, was originally scheduled to end on July 1. However, to allow citizens time to realize their savings, the deadline was pushed forward by a month. In early July, Ukrainians already received the final cashback payment for purchases made in April, and now they must dispose of these funds.
The Program Continues: New Payments and Partners
It is important to understand: the "National Cashback" project itself is not closing. The restriction applies only to old savings. In August, Ukrainians are expected to receive the next payment — cashback for purchases made in May. Thus, the cycle of accrual and use of funds continues in normal mode.
The program's ecosystem continues to expand. Two more financial institutions — Alliance Bank and KredoBank — have joined the list of participants. Now Ukrainians can use the services of 22 partner banks, which significantly simplifies access to the bonus program for different segments of the population.
Where to Spend the Remaining Balance
A full list of categories, stores, and services where program funds are accepted is available on the official website. Citizens are advised to check the current list of partners to ensure they can make purchases before the close of business on July 31.
