The wait for the long-awaited financial assistance for parents of first-graders will last a few more days. The launch of the "School Package" service in the state application "Diia" has been postponed until the beginning of next week. Official confirmation of this information came from Valeria Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation.
Reason for the launch date postponement
The decision to shift the deadlines was made by the Ministry of Digital Transformation not for technical reasons, but due to the humanitarian situation. Valeria Koval directly pointed to the massive Russian shelling carried out last night and the tragic death of children as the main factor affecting the service launch schedule.
"Due to the massive Russian shelling last night, and unfortunately, the death of children — we decided to postpone the launch until the beginning of next week. So, there is a little more waiting left," the official noted.
Chronicle of the tragedy
The context for such a decision was created on the night of July 30, when Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian territory using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The most severe consequences were recorded in the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih. There, an Iskander-M ballistic missile hit a private house of a large family, becoming one of the most resonant tragedies in recent days.
Plans for notification and payments
Valeria Koval clarified that the exact time for the start of accepting applications for receiving funds will be announced additionally. It is expected that the official notification will appear directly in the interface of the "Diia" application.
Earlier, the Minister of Social Policy, Denys Ulyutin, reported that financial payments under the "School Package" program are planned to be made between the end of July and the beginning of August. Thus, despite the delay in opening the service for submitting documents, the general schedule for fund distribution remains the same.
