Night attack on Kyiv and the region: casualties, fires, and the work of rescuers

The nighttime air raid alert in Kyiv and the Kyiv region turned into a tragedy. As a result of a cynical attack by the occupiers, both residents of the capital and the suburbs were affected. According to the latest data, people have been caught in the fire and under the rubble, while emergency services are working at the limit of their capabilities.

Situation in the Kyiv region

Significant destruction has been recorded in the Bucha district. According to official data from the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KOMA), two local residents were injured as a result of the attack. One of the victims, a man, suffered multiple shrapnel wounds. His condition required immediate hospitalization at the regional hospital, where doctors are providing all necessary emergency care.

The second victim of the attack is a woman injured by a fire that broke out after the impact of shells. She suffered from smoke inhalation. After examination by doctors and stabilization of her condition, she was released to go home.

Fires and the work of emergency services

In addition to human casualties, the attack caused significant material damage. In the Bucha district, warehouse facilities were damaged, where large-scale fires were recorded. The fire is being extinguished by rescuers from the State Emergency Service (SES).

Headquarters have been set up at the scenes of the incidents. Rescuers, medics, police, and all necessary operational services are working to assess the damage and assist the victims.

Tragedy in the capital

The situation in Kyiv itself remains tense. As of 04:21 AM, one person was killed and seven others were injured with varying degrees of severity as a result of the attack. Fires and building destruction are being recorded in many districts of the city.

Earlier that night, the consequences of strikes were already recorded in several districts of Kyiv: hits on residential buildings, fires in shopping centers, and injuries to civilians. Operational services continue to work to extinguish fires and search for possible victims.
