People's Artist of Ukraine Nina Naboka spoke frankly in a recent interview about the financial side of the acting profession, which is often surrounded by myths in the public consciousness. The star of theater and cinema commented on widespread rumors about allegedly inflated fees and admitted that she sees no point in spending time on bureaucratic red tape to increase her own pension. According to her, a stereotype has taken root in the professional environment: film producers are afraid to invite famous actresses, believing that years of experience and star status will automatically require a "lion's share" of the budget. Naboka directly points out that such fears are often groundless.

«You can make a deal with Naboka»

The actress emphasizes that in matters of payment she is always ready to compromise, and that directors and producers, in her observation, simply "forget" about this possibility. "Well, they forget that you can make a deal with Naboka! Maybe I dream of playing this role for free! How do you know?" the actress noted with humor. At the same time, she clarified that she is forbidden to disclose specific contract amounts, so she did not name figures for individual projects publicly.

Pension payments and bureaucracy

A separate topic of conversation was pension payments. Nina Naboka did not hide that currently her pension is "bad". To recalculate and increase the amount, it is necessary to collect a lot of certificates and documentation, however, the actress does not want to spend time and effort on this. The actress admitted that she considers herself "somewhat lazy" in such matters, but, according to her own words, the main reason lies not in laziness, but in civic position.

Civic position: "let them go to the state"

"I am still working. If my money goes to the war, I agree. I will not fight for some penny — let them go somewhere to the state and everything else," emphasized the people's favorite. She added that she is not stingy at all and is quite satisfied with the fact that she retains the opportunity to actively shoot and earn with her labor, rather than relying on pension accruals.

Contradictory data

In the public sphere, a somewhat diverse picture is forming on the topic of Naboka's finances. On the one hand, in an interview for Styler (RBC-Ukraine), the actress directly refuses to name specific contract amounts, citing a ban on disclosure. On the other hand, in other materials (in particular, in a publication by focus.ua), her fee for a role in a specific film becomes the subject of public discussion under the headline "This is a state picture". Thus, the actress's position on disclosing figures and what journalists discuss regarding individual projects do not always coincide: Naboka herself keeps the amounts secret, while the media periodically brings individual payments to the discussion. There are no discrepancies in dates or in the very essence of her statements about the pension and readiness to negotiate in the sources.

Context: career and public presence

Naboka's statements come at a time when she remains one of the most recognizable People's Artists of Ukraine, actively working in cinema and on television. At the same time, other aspects of her public life are discussed in the media — for example, publications about her dacha near Kyiv, which show how the actress spends her earnings. Taken together, her interview forms an image of a person who consciously refuses a "war for a penny" in favor of active creative work and civic solidarity.
