At the People's Front forum "All for Victory," Vladimir Putin voiced the Kremlin's tough stance regarding the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the Russian state stated that Russia's retaliatory measures against strikes on its territory will be "mirror" in nature and exceed the enemy's attacks in power several times over.
"The enemy will feel this on an increasing scale," Putin emphasized, drawing attention to the inevitability of conflict escalation. According to him, Russia is preparing an asymmetric response that will be felt by Ukraine more and more strongly.
Fuel crisis in Russia
During his speech, the leader of the RF admitted that the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are creating serious problems for the Russian economy, especially in the sphere of oil products. Putin noted that the situation with the fuel shortage is gradually being corrected, but admitted the presence of difficulties.
As previously reported, the Russian command in southern Ukraine has limited the refueling of mobile fire groups and air defense systems. This was reported by the resistance movement "ATESH". The restrictions are related to the decline in gasoline production, which now covers only about 65% of seasonal demand.
Strikes on refineries and consequences
The cause of the fuel crisis in Russia was strikes by Ukrainian drones on the largest oil refineries. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak directly linked the lack of fuel to "arrivals" of unmanned aerial vehicles to infrastructure.
In response to these challenges, the Kremlin announced work on a new system for supplying Crimea with oil products. Putin assured that until this system, it will be "very difficult for the enemy to get there," which could become an important step in ensuring the logistics of the peninsula.
Thus, the escalation of the war against the backdrop of long-range sanctions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the internal fuel crisis in Russia is becoming a reality. According to Putin, Moscow's retaliatory measures will grow in intensity, which could lead to new rounds of tension.
