On the night of October 11, 2026, Russian occupying forces launched another massive attack using strike drones against the city of Dnipro. As a result of the enemy raid, severe damage to civilian infrastructure, housing stock, and large-scale fires at industrial facilities were recorded in the city.
Consequences of the Night Strike on Dnipro
According to Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, four people were injured as a result of the nighttime terror. Among the wounded were two children—two 8-year-old girls. One of them was promptly hospitalized by an ambulance crew, and medical workers assess the child's condition as moderate. The second girl, along with two adults—a 29-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man—received necessary assistance on the spot and will undergo outpatient treatment.
Infrastructure Destruction and Fires
The kamikaze drone attack hit several districts of the city. In one residential area, a multi-story residential building was damaged by the blast wave and debris. In addition, hits were recorded on warehouse facilities storing food products. A powerful fire broke out at the scene, covering a significant area. Trucks and cars parked near the trading and logistics warehouses were also destroyed or damaged by the fire.
Context of Regular City Shelling
It is worth noting that Dnipro regularly faces brutal strikes from the Russian army. For instance, during a large-scale shelling on the night of October 7, the enemy attacked a local industrial enterprise, damaging infrastructure, apartment buildings, and a sports club. Even earlier, on the evening of October 2, a residential high-rise caught fire due to another airstrike, forcing rescuers to evacuate residents, while falling debris damaged the city council building and the roof of a business center in the city center.
