In Ukraine, the acceptance of applications for the state aid "Schoolbag Package" has resumed. Families whose children are going to school for the first time can once again count on financial support in the amount of 5,000 hryvnias. This measure is designed to help parents prepare for the new academic year and cover initial expenses.
The state subsidy has a clear purpose. The allocated funds are intended for the purchase of everything necessary for school: school uniforms, shoes, books, stationery, and other supplies. This allows families to focus their budget on the most important things for the start of the child's educational journey.
Eligibility conditions and categories of citizens
The procedure for applying for the payment is maximally simplified and available to most citizens of Ukraine. The main requirement is having a child who is going to the first grade for the first time. However, a specific procedure is provided for certain categories of citizens.
In particular, online application is not available for guardians of orphans and children deprived of parental care. They must personally visit any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and submit a paper application. For other categories of citizens, the standard simplified procedure applies.
How to apply for the payment: online and offline
Most parents can use digital services to receive assistance. Application is available through the official digital application, which eliminates the need to stand in queues. The process consists of several simple steps that take a minimum of time.
If for some reason it is impossible to use the application, the applicant has the right to apply for assistance in person. To do this, you need to contact the nearest service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The staff of the institution will help fill out the necessary documents and accept the application.
Results of the previous year
The "Schoolbag Package" program has already proven its effectiveness. Last year, more than 200,000 children received state aid. The acceptance of applications during that period continued until November 15, which gave families enough time to prepare.
An analysis of expenses showed that parents most often directed funds to the purchase of children's clothing, stationery, and shoes. This confirms that the program really solves the actual tasks of families preparing for the first of September.
