The meeting, held in July, brought together former high-ranking officials from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Russia. The exact date of the event remains classified, but the fact of its occurrence has already caused a wide resonance in diplomatic circles.

According to sources, the participants discussed potential conditions for future peace negotiations. The German Foreign Ministry stated that they knew nothing about the meeting: "They were not conducted on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office or in coordination with it".
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also refused to comment on the event. His comment, cited by Bloomberg, clarifies the nature of such meetings: "Former officials and think tanks often participate in unofficial diplomatic efforts, not representing the government, to explore potential ways to solve complex international problems. Such meetings are usually private initiatives without an official mandate and take place at the level of expert discussions".

Earlier, it was reported that North Korea is deploying its missile unit in Russia to attack Ukraine. At the same time, the Pentagon made a final decision on the mission to aid Ukraine, which increases pressure on all parties to the conflict.
