On August 27, Russian occupiers struck the logistics infrastructure of the Ukrainian agriholding Roshen. According to the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, the enemy used seven Shahed suicide drones in the attack, which targeted the company's warehouse and logistics facilities. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Poroshenko's Facebook post, and the details were confirmed by Roshen's press service.
Attack Details: Altitude and Speed
"Roshen's logistics facilities were struck by seven Shaheds. They flew at altitudes of 8,000 meters at a speed of over 300 kilometers per hour," Poroshenko stated, revealing the technical parameters of the attack. According to him, such strikes are carried out under conditions where the resources for effectively countering jet-powered Shaheds are limited, making the defense of warehouse and logistics facilities a particularly challenging task for air defense systems.
Consequences for the Company
Roshen's press service confirmed that as a result of the Russian strike, a warehouse holding the company's products in the settlement of Chubynske in Kyiv Oblast was destroyed. As a result of the attack, the holding lost part of its products, and disruptions to certain items in its assortment are possible in the near future. The company emphasized that this is already the second attack on its infrastructure since the start of the full-scale war: previously, Russian occupiers had struck Roshen's finished goods warehouse in the city of Yahotyn.
