On the morning of August 1, Russian forces launched a drone attack on warehouse facilities on the outskirts of Brovary. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, and six others were injured. Emergency services are currently working at the scene to mitigate the consequences of the strike.
Casualties and Injured
The deceased was a 61-year-old man. Among the injured, one person is in critical condition with multiple injuries. The other five are receiving outpatient treatment after receiving medical aid. Information regarding casualties and the injured has been confirmed by Timur Tkachenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapożko, and the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Location of the Attack
Reports have emerged online suggesting the strike targeted the warehouses of the online hypermarket ROZETKA. Photos from the scene show burning vehicles and destroyed structures. Emergency services continue to work at the site, documenting the damage and clearing up the aftermath of the attack.
Investigation of War Crimes
Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime resulting in death (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors, together with investigators and other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack carried out by the Russian Armed Forces.
Massive Attack on Ukraine
On the night of August 1, Russia attacked Ukraine with 35 missiles and 185 attack drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down only one ballistic missile out of 27. The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region. Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions were also attacked.
Russian forces launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Damage and fires were recorded in five districts of the capital: Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Pecherskyi. As a result of the attack, nine people were killed, and another 30 were injured, including four children.
During the day on August 1, Russian forces attacked Odesa with drones. An unmanned aerial vehicle hit a multi-story residential building in the city center.
