On July 16, a new destructive event occurred in Kramatorsk, affecting the city's critical infrastructure. Russian occupiers dropped a KAB (aviation bomb) on Novaposhta branch No. 5. As a result of the direct hit, the building was engulfed in flames, and a threat of a large-scale fire arose inside the premises.

No human casualties

Fortunately, tragedy was avoided. According to the company, at the time of the strike, all employees of the post office were in a shelter. According to the latest official reports, no staff members were injured. Immediately after the attack, emergency services arrived at the scene and began to eliminate the consequences of the explosion and extinguish the fire.

Consequences for business and customers

Novaposhta confirmed that cargo stored in the warehouse was damaged as a result of the attack. The company promises that full information about the scale of the damage will be established in the near future. However, management has already guaranteed customers: the declared value of all parcels damaged by the strike will be compensated.

"We are already contacting customers to inform them of the details of the reimbursement," the operator's press service noted. To minimize delivery delays, the company has activated reserve logistics routes. The current status of parcels can be tracked via the mobile application and the official website.

Logistics as a target of attack

The attack on the branch in Kramatorsk is not an isolated incident. Earlier, there were reports of the destruction of a Novaposhta sorting terminal in the Chernihiv region and a strike on a terminal in Kryvyi Rih. The Russian side officially calls the largest logistics operator in Ukraine a supply center for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which explains the systematic nature of strikes on the company's infrastructure.
