On the night of July 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a large-scale operation aimed at reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU, critical facilities in the deep rear of the enemy were hit, including oil refineries, aircraft factories, and communication hubs.
Strike on Russia's energy infrastructure
One of the main results of the night operation was the strike on the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in the Volgograd region. A direct hit on the facility was recorded, after which a fire broke out on the site. This enterprise is one of the largest in Russia: its capacity is about 15 million tons of oil per year. The plant specializes in the production of automotive gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, a significant portion of which is used by the Russian Armed Forces.
In addition to Volgograd, the infrastructure of the Taman port was also hit, where a large-scale fire was also recorded. The attack on logistics and energy nodes inflicts direct damage to the economy of the occupation machine.
Devastation of military facilities and EW
The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck the "Pole-21" electronic warfare complex in the Golubovka area of the Luhansk region. This equipment is critical for the enemy, as it allows them to suppress the communication and navigation of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the Donetsk region, an enemy command post in the Bakhmut area was destroyed. In Crimea, in the Naumovka area, an ammunition train was attacked, which significantly reduces the combat readiness of the grouping on the peninsula.
Attack on the aircraft factory in Yevpatoria
A joint operation by the SBU and the Defense Forces resulted in a strike on an aircraft factory in the temporarily occupied Yevpatoria. As a result of the strike, two hangars for storing aviation equipment and a production shop were damaged. The destruction of infrastructure related to the repair and maintenance of military aviation deprives the enemy of the ability to quickly restore combat losses.
Drone attacks in other regions
Night raids by Ukrainian drones were not limited to the listed objects. FPV drones struck the logistics hub of the Wildberries marketplace in Volgograd. Explosions were also recorded in Kazan and Zelenodolsk, where, according to preliminary data, facilities of the same retail network may have been damaged. In Kaspiysk, local residents reported explosions in the area of the seaport, indicating the wide geography of the attacks.
These actions demonstrate the ability of Ukrainian units to operate at significant distances and strike targets that ensure the functioning of the Russian military and economic machine.
