Kyiv's Reaction: Zelenskyy Calls for Intensified Sanctions Pressure
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the attacks by publishing footage from the scene of the strike at the Dnipro station. He stated that every such strike is "further proof" that sanctions pressure on Russia must not weaken. "How many such terrorist strikes has Russia inflicted on our people even after the lifting of sanctions from certain Russian oligarchs and energy sectors instead of moving toward de-escalation," the head of state wrote, urging Europe, the US, and the G7 to take "new, stronger sanctions steps." As of the evening of October 29, all casualty figures remain preliminary; final data will be published as work at the sites is completed and victims are discharged from hospitals.
