The situation along the line of demarcation remains tense. The Russian Armed Forces are making active attempts to "test" the Ukrainian defense along almost the entire length of the front. This was stated by Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group, during a televised marathon.
Key directions of enemy activity
According to the military expert, the most difficult situation persists in five key directions. The enemy is conducting active operations, striving to identify weak points in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive line. Although Tregubov noted that Russian forces theoretically consider the Degtiarne direction as well, there is currently no particular enemy activity observed in this sector.
Tactics of small groups and "zone of control"
Previously, Viktor Tregubov stated that the strategy of Russian troops is aimed at forming a so-called "zone of control" along the entire state border of Ukraine. To implement this task, the occupiers employ the tactics of small infantry groups. They constantly look for new directions for advancement, trying to wedge into the defense and create local hotspots of tension.
President Zelenskyy's warning
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia's actions may not be limited to a war against Ukraine. The head of state emphasized that if the Kremlin fails to achieve victory, Russian leader Vladimir Putin will pose an even greater threat not only to Ukraine but to the entire world.
