The second episode of the 14th season of the vocal show 'The Voice of Ukraine' ended for one of the contestants not only with a successful performance but also with a milestone event in her personal life. On Sunday, November 1st, the second stage of blind auditions took place, where Anastasiia Buhaenko performed the song 'Kaluski Vechornytsi' by KALUSH and Tember Blanche. The performance caught the attention of Tina Karol, who turned her chair and invited the singer to her team. However, while the vocalist was speaking with the star mentors, a surprise was being prepared backstage that changed the course of the evening.
A proposal right in front of the mentors
Anastasiia's beloved, Yurii, came onto the stage together with their little son. The man gave the contestant a bouquet of red roses, after which he knelt down and proposed to her right in front of the star mentors and television viewers. Anastasiia did not hide her surprise and immediately accepted. The couple embraced, and the mentors congratulated them and performed part of the song 'I Say Yes'. According to TSN Glamour, the couple already has a three-year-old son, and the singer herself had long dreamed of a wedding.
How the intrigue was kept until the end
Later, the contestant shared that the proposal was a complete surprise, although she had previously imagined how an unusual marriage proposal might happen. She said she even thought about organizing a romantic surprise for her partner herself, but never suspected that he was preparing such a step. Tina Karol played a key role in keeping the intrigue, distracting the singer and then taking the child to her. 'And then Tina says: "Do you know who is standing behind you?". I turn around and see him!' Anastasiia recalled.
The contestant's emotions and future path
The proposal was not the only surprise of the evening. Anastasiia admitted that before the performance, she was not sure if she could interest any of the mentors, and she had not fully recovered from an illness, which made her nervousness affect her performance. Nevertheless, she went on stage to show her capabilities. She was most surprised by Tina Karol's reaction: according to the singer, she could imagine that someone else would turn around, but she almost did not count on Tina's support. The mentor, in turn, noted that she was especially impressed by the rap performed by the vocalist. Now, Buhaenko will continue her participation in the project on Tina Karol's team and hopes to learn how to better control her nervousness and feel more confident on stage.
