#Anti Drone

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that since the start of 2026, engineering units have built more than 1,300 km of anti-drone protection for logistics routes. Just in August, 266 km of structures were erected, while the State Special Transport Service additionally protected over 1,170 km of frontline routes.

At MSPO 2026 in Kielce, "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" presented a prototype of an automatic anti-drone module equipped with shotguns and a thermal imaging channel. The system is being developed jointly with the company UNIT and is positioned as an affordable means of protecting armored vehicles.

Latvia showcased anti-drone systems on the new Hunter IFV at Adazi base: Spanish active and passive systems, as well as integration with ground drones. The first vehicles are due to reach the troops in October.

American startup Powerus is assembling the 3D-printed Guardian interceptor, priced at 5,000 dollars, in the UAE to counter Iranian drones. The company is scaling production to 15,000 units per month by 2027.

France has uncovered a large-scale network of drug smuggling into prisons using drones: in the Rhône, thousands of deliveries were reconstructed from the digital traces of UAVs, while in Strasbourg drones are obstructing the nighttime landing of medical helicopters.
