#Clock Change

Find out why the transition to winter time in Ukraine in 2026 traditionally happens on Sunday night, October 25, and how it affects transport, finance, and health.

Switching clocks to standard time in Ukraine will help reduce the evening peak load on the energy system and decrease the need for power outages.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law abolishing the clock change back in 2024, but the president has not signed it. Therefore, in autumn 2026 Ukraine will again switch to winter time on the night of 24 to 25 October.

On October 25, 2026, Ukraine and the EU countries will turn their clocks back by one hour, switching to winter time. No final decision on abolishing the twice-yearly time change has been made yet.
