#Energy Autonomy

A 2026 study shows that Ukrainians now value energy autonomy and shelter availability on par with price and floor space. Importance of backup power has grown from 49% to 68% in a year.

From 1 September 2026, Resolution No. 813 requires all dental clinics and sole proprietors to have verified backup power supply. Without autonomy, a clinic risks its licence, while costs for UPS units and generators have risen by 20% of the unit cost of a visit.

In August 2026, the median rental price of a house in Kyiv Oblast reached a record $2,500 per month against the backdrop of prolonged blackout threats. Experts expect autonomous housing prices to rise by 5–15% by winter.
