Ukrainian Ambassador to the EU Vsevolod Chentsov stated that Kyiv expects to begin preliminary closing of the first negotiating clusters in 2027 and complete the accession process by the end of 2028.

In a new report, the European Commission assessed Ukraine's progress toward the EU: conditions for three clusters have been met, but some recommendations on courts and corruption require acceleration, while Hungary continues to block two clusters.
