Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara told German counterpart Boris Pistorius about successful Ukrainian strikes on Russian launchers and growing air defense needs.

At the 36th 'Rammstein' meeting, Pistorius announced the urgent delivery of PAC2, AIM-9 and IRIS-T missiles for Ukraine's air defense before winter. The purchase of additional missiles will be financed through the 90-billion-euro EU defense loan.

In response to the drone attack at Leipzig airport, Germany will hand over additional IRIS-T missiles to Ukraine as early as September, along with several thousand strike drones, and will also strengthen intelligence cooperation with Kyiv.

Germany has completed the first test flight of the Cobra 600 jet interceptor drone carrying an IRIS-T missile over the Baltic Sea. The creators plan to use the aircraft to engage Su-34 aircraft.
