The Federation of Employers of the Ukrainian FEC urges NEURC to set electricity price caps at UAH 18,000/MWh to prepare for a difficult winter.

Starting October 1, Ukraine introduces new rules for electricity disconnections due to debt, setting a 1664 UAH threshold and capping utility fees.

On September 15, NRECU approved amendments to the retail electricity market rules: consumers with smart meters will gain the right to dynamic pricing, and switching suppliers will become free. The reform is aimed at integrating Ukraine with European energy markets.

Within three weeks, the NCREKU changed its chairman twice: on August 4, Ruslan Slobodyan became the head, and on August 21, Yuri Vlasenko headed the commission again. Experts see this as a circumvention of the ban on two consecutive terms.

As of August 1, 2026, the tariff for electricity transmission through Ukraine's transmission networks will increase by 25% to 928.45 UAH per MWh. 🏭 A preferential rate will be maintained for "green" metallurgy. ⚡️ The price of electricity for households will not change and will remain at 4.32 UAH per kWh.

Kyiv has cancelled the sharp increase in water tariffs to 90 hryvnias, settling on a rate of 63.79 UAH per cubic meter. This decision stands out as an exception against the backdrop of mass doubling and tripling of water prices in other Ukrainian cities since July 1. 🚰📉
