Ukrzaliznytsia explained that during a "yellow" alert, a train may not run if monitoring groups detect a direct threat. On September 18, the Cabinet of Ministers approved new rules for railway operations under air threat.

From 17 September, new rules for the operation of Ukrzaliznytsia and stations during air alerts have been in force in Ukraine: under the yellow level trains continue to run, while under the red level boarding is suspended and people are moved into shelters.

Ukrzaliznytsia has insured liability for damage to passengers' life and health: compensation can reach 320,000 hryvnias. We analyze the procedure, deadlines for application, and payment mechanism.

🚆 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has updated safety rules for passengers in 2026. A clear 5-step action algorithm is now in effect for conflicts on trains: from using 'panic buttons' to calling the police at the station. 🔹 Cameras and help call buttons have been installed in new carriages. 🔹 Passengers are advised to record violations on camera. 🔹 The dispatcher has the right to stop the train to call the police. ⚠️ Important: only 15% of carriages are currently equipped with modern systems.
