The Cabinet has appointed Yuriy Konyushenko as First Deputy and acting head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, tasking him with budget revenues and business dialogue.

NABU has detained the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the STS in the Ternopil region and the head of a territorial unit: the officials demanded bribes for reducing fines and an 11.5% kickback on VAT refunds. The total amount of improper benefit was €75,000.

The Cabinet of Ministers terminated Lesia Karnauch's powers as acting head of the STA and tasked the Finance Ministry with submitting successor candidates at the next government meeting.
