The ICC called new US sanctions against its staff a blow to the rule of law. The Court stated that it has no intention of backing down from its powers despite pressure from Washington and threats of liquidation.

🇺🇸 The US Senate has approved "hellish sanctions" against Russia and Iran. 86 senators voted in favor against 11. The Graham Act provides for tariffs of up to 500% on imports from Russia and a blow to the "shadow fleet." 🇺🇦 Zelenskyy called this a step towards ending the war. Entry into force is expected in September 2026.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed a new package of sanctions against the RF with senators in Washington. The President called the bill an important signal for Europe and confirmation of support for Ukraine. 🇺🇸🇺🇦 Graham's bill has already passed the first vote, but there is still one more round in the Senate before it comes into force by August.
