The pace of modern life dictates its own rules: time spent cooking is becoming an increasingly scarce resource, while the need for a balanced diet does not disappear. That is exactly why the concept of meal prep — preparing several meals in advance in a single session — is gaining popularity among busy people. On her Instagram page, a blogger known as olya_pins demonstrated a method that allows you to bake three fundamentally different dishes on a single baking tray at the same time. The result is six ready-made portions covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next two days. This is reported by the entertainment project Styler from RBC-Ukraine.

Three dishes, one oven: how it works

The key idea of the recipe is that all three dishes are baked at the same temperature — 180 °C — and in roughly the same amount of time, about 40 minutes. This makes it possible to place six glass containers (two round and four rectangular) on a single black baking tray and put them in the oven at once. No sequential cooking, no extra pots or pans: one session at the stove and in the oven covers the menu for the next day and a bit more.

What exactly is being cooked: a breakdown of the three dishes

The first dish is an oatmeal bake with banana, eggs, milk, raspberries, and sliced peach. The banana is mashed with a fork, mixed with eggs, oat flakes, and milk, after which fresh berries and fruit are added. This is the breakfast option: light, slightly sweet, with a pronounced fruity accent. The second dish is a rice bake with chicken fillet, corn, green peas, bell pepper, salt, and spices. The rice is rinsed, the chicken is cut into small pieces, all the ingredients are combined, and 240 ml of boiling water is poured over them. The third dish is a broccoli bake with tuna and eggs, topped with grated cheese. The broccoli is pre-boiled for two minutes, then mixed with tuna, eggs, and cheese. The latter two dishes cover the lunches and dinners for both days.

Step-by-step preparation and baking

The preparation process does not require advanced culinary skills. All the ingredients are available in any supermarket, and the only operation that requires separate time is the two-minute boiling of the broccoli. The rest comes down to chopping, mixing, and distributing the ingredients into the containers. Once all six containers are filled, the tray is placed in an oven preheated to 180 °C for 40 minutes. After the time is up, the dishes are ready: they can be eaten immediately or cooled and stored in the refrigerator for later reheating.

Practical value and time savings

Six portions for two days is, in essence, three full meals a day prepared in one hour of active kitchen work (including preparation and baking). For working professionals, students, or parents who do not have time to cook every day, this approach saves at least two to three hours a day. Moreover, the variety of dishes — the sweet oatmeal bake, the hearty rice bake, and the protein-rich broccoli with tuna — helps avoid a monotonous diet and maintains a balance of macronutrients throughout the day.
