A new restaurant called DUCKARIA, featuring duck as its main ingredient, has opened in Kyiv at 26 Ivan Mazepa Street. Operating in a smart casual bistro format, the project was launched with the participation of the "Chernomorka" restaurant network team acting as industry experts. The opening took place on October 2, 2026, and quickly drew attention from gastronomic reviewers.

Concept and Shift in Focus

Traditionally, the flagship projects of the "Chernomorka" network were built around fish and the "from sea to plate" concept, relying on their own catch near Odesa. However, after the full-scale war began, the situation changed dramatically: the former pier is no longer operational, and fishing in the Black Sea has become dangerous. While continuing their fish operations, the team began searching for an alternative core product to diversify their business and avoid internal competition between new locations.

Partnership and Breaking Stereotypes

The new gastronomic line was made possible by partnering with a duck farm owner. DUCKARIA is built on synergy: the partner provides the product, while the "Chernomorka" team, which manages over 50 establishments in Ukraine and Europe, shares its management expertise. The main goal of the founders is to break the stereotype that duck is exclusively a holiday dish or too heavy to cook, turning it into democratic daily food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Menu, Prices, and Winter Alternative

The menu features duck noodle soup, cutlets, burgers, pasta, and dishes utilizing duck eggs for the breakfast menu, served daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The average cost of breakfast is about 350-400 hryvnias, while top main courses reach approximately 600 hryvnias. Additionally, the restaurant features a showcase with ready-to-heat meals to take home. According to network marketers, duck is also viewed as a successful seasonal alternative to fish, the demand for which traditionally drops during the winter season.
