Inaccuracies in official documents, typos in personal data, or missing records regarding insurance history can cause a significant reduction in pension payments. The Pension Fund of Ukraine strongly recommends that citizens check all information in electronic registries in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises when retiring and to prevent delays in receiving funds.

How to independently check insurance history and contributions

The process of checking accumulated insurance history and paid contributions takes only a few minutes thanks to digital services. To do this, citizens need to order special electronic certificates using forms OK-5 or OK-7 via the official electronic services portal of the Pension Fund. The OK-5 certificate contains detailed information about the insured person's earnings, insurance history, and contribution payments starting from 2000. The OK-7 certificate displays information about the salary from which the single social contribution was calculated and the insurance history starting from 2011.

Procedure for obtaining certificates and fixing errors online

You can obtain the necessary certificates in your personal account on the agency's website by authorizing through the BankID system, Diia.Signature service, or a qualified electronic signature (QES). Electronic documents certified by a QR code have absolutely equal legal force with paper counterparts featuring a wet stamp. In case of discrepancies in personal data, users can submit a special questionnaire to make changes to the Register of Insured Persons by attaching scan copies of their passport and supporting documents.

Contradictory data

There are certain nuances in assessing insurance history acquired before and after the introduction of personalized accounting. Thus, the labor book still retains the status of a key document for confirming history for the period before January 1, 2004. At the same time, any discrepancies in the spelling of the surname, first name, or patronymic between the passport and the labor book may require additional documentary confirmation and manual verification by PFU specialists, which creates a time gap in the assignment of payments.

Expert assessments and prospects for payment deferral

Specialized experts and fund representatives note that timely updating of data allows not only to protect pension rights but also to take advantage of government programs aimed at encouraging later retirement. According to current norms, citizens who have acquired the right to an old-age pension can consciously postpone its registration. If the payment is deferred for six years, its base amount can increase by 54 percent, making a thorough audit of insurance history an extremely profitable step.
