The Ukrainian army is undergoing a massive technological transformation. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the country's armed forces will receive more than 22,000 new ground robotic complexes (GRCs) for various purposes. Since the beginning of 2026, procurement volumes have already almost doubled compared to the previous year.
A key factor in this success has been full localization of production. All contracted complexes are of Ukrainian manufacture. This allows for independence from external supplies and the rapid adaptation of equipment to the real needs of the front.
Supply Structure and Robot Tasks
Logistical machines designed for delivering cargo to dangerous zones dominate the structure of new procurements. They are followed by engineering complexes and combat robots. Thousands of units of equipment have already been transferred to military units and are actively used in operations.
Particularly interesting is the mechanism for distributing equipment. Specifically, 2,069 robots were selected by the units themselves through the specialized weapons marketplace DOT-Chain Defence. Such a system allows soldiers to receive exactly the equipment necessary to perform their specific tasks.
Growth in Combat Application
The effectiveness of robotics implementation is confirmed by combat application statistics. In June, Ukrainian military personnel completed more than 16,600 missions using ground robots. This is 18.6% more than in May and 122% higher than January figures.
The sharp increase in activity indicates that the equipment has already passed the testing phase and has become an integral part of the daily combat work of units.
Motivation System and Economy
To stimulate the use of new equipment, a reward system has been introduced. For completed tasks, units receive ePoints. Through the Brave1 Market platform, these points can be exchanged for drones and various components.
The economic scale of the program is impressive. In the first six months of 2026, DOT JSC contracted drones worth 333.6 billion hryvnias. This is twice the procurement volumes for the same period last year. Furthermore, since August 2025, drones and components worth more than 35 billion hryvnias have been sold on the Brave1 Market marketplace for ePoints.
