The night of July 18-19 proved to be one of the most successful for the Drone Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the Commander of the Drone Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Ukrainian drones struck critical infrastructure in occupied Crimea and ships of Russia's "shadow fleet" in the Black Sea.
"Crimea Switch": Strikes on Energy Infrastructure
As part of the "Crimea Switch" operation, Ukrainian operators struck 13 energy nodes and substations. The geography of the strikes covered not only the peninsula but also adjacent territories. Of the 13 destroyed objects, 8 are located directly in Crimea, while another 5 are situated in the southern and eastern territories of the temporarily occupied territories (TOT).
These attacks continue as part of systematic efforts to undermine the enemy's energy security. Since the beginning of July until the 19th, the total statistics of the operation show the destruction of 96 energy nodes.
"MoloChka": Hunting the "Shadow Fleet"
Parallel to the attacks on coastal objects, the "MoloChka" operation intensified in the Black Sea. In a single night, Ukrainian drones, known as the "Birds" of the Drone Forces, set fire to four large ships. Among the destroyed targets were two tankers, one bulk carrier, and a floating crane.
These strikes inflict significant damage to the logistics of the Russian Federation's "shadow fleet." Since the beginning of July until the 19th, the total count of operations against maritime targets has reached 176 vessels.
Night's Results
In total, on the night of July 19, the drones of the Drone Forces engaged 59 hostile targets in the enemy's operational depth. The Drone Forces command confirms the high effectiveness of using unmanned systems for both precision strikes on infrastructure and the destruction of maritime targets, ensuring pressure on the enemy along the entire front line and in the rear.
