The National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar rate at 44.64 UAH (+18 kop.) and the euro rate at 51.99 UAH (+36 kop.) for September 10. The NBU also reminded that bank accounts can be opened in any currency.

Zelensky has sent two bills to the Verkhovna Rada on strengthening liability for organizing fraudulent call centers and “drop” schemes. The documents will also update banking protection algorithms.

AUB Vice President Serhiy Mamedov calculated that at a rate of 17.5% per annum, a hryvnia deposit of 100,000 UAH will yield about 6.7% net income in six months, while for parity the dollar must rise from 45 to 48 UAH. The expert advises diversifying savings.

In September 2026, Ukrainian banks may intensify competition for hryvnia deposits: average rates are forecast at 13.5–15%, while individual offers with bonuses could reach 17.5–18% per annum. Lending rates, meanwhile, may rise by 0.5–1 p.p.
