In his first statement, Ukraine's Acting Prosecutor General Anton Kovalsky pledged to ensure the uninterrupted work of the prosecutor's office, complete the staffing procedures related to "Carthage," and interact with NABU and SAP within the framework of the law.

The Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko — 317 votes. The decision followed a conflict with NABU and SAP and the official's departure abroad.

Zelensky suspended Kravchenko from the post of Prosecutor General by decree, citing the martial law law. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the 'Carthage' case, the suspicion against Kryvonos, and Kravchenko's departure abroad.

The Verkhovna Rada committee unanimously supported Zelensky's motion to dismiss Prosecutor General Kravchenko. The final decision will be made by parliament at the plenary session on September 15.

Prosecutor General Kravchenko announced a suspicion against NABU Director Krivonos and a person from the SAP head's entourage, after which he left for Poland overnight. Zelensky is demanding his dismissal, and a motion for resignation has been submitted to the Rada.

On September 14, President Zelensky sent to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal to dismiss Prosecutor General Kravchenko. The document is to be reviewed by the relevant committee and the plenary chamber on an expedited basis against the backdrop of the conflict with NABU and the SAP.

Next week the Verkhovna Rada is set to dismiss Prosecutor General Khrachenko, yet Zelensky's office still has not a single candidate to replace him. The issue has been put on pause until the president returns from his visits to Norway and Canada.

Operation 'Carthage' by NABU and SAP on the 'shielding' of call centers led to Prosecutor General Khrachenko's resignation request. Against the backdrop of scandals in the President's Office and the SBU–GUR conflict, the authorities acknowledge a breakdown of the state machinery.

Zelensky announced that after a personal meeting, Prosecutor General Kravchenko submitted a resignation statement, and a proposal will be sent to the Verkhovna Rada. The decision was made against the backdrop of the “Carthage” case.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he does not plan to resign amid the NABU “Carthage” case, and emphasized that the final assessment of the circumstances should be made by the court, not by investigative bodies.

On September 7, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court is considering the SAP's motion to arrest 24-year-old Elizaveta Ivakhnenko ("Muse") in the case on call centers in the Office of the Prosecutor General. The prosecution is demanding detention with a bail of 50 million hryvnias.

NABU and the Office of the Prosecutor General exposed a group headed by an OPG official that was 'protecting' fraudulent call centers. The employee has been suspended, and the damage amounts to tens of millions of hryvnias.

⚖️ Deputy Prosecutor General Maksym Krym revealed key problems facing the department in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. 📉 **Main Challenge:** The Constitutional Court declared the norm regarding the representation of state interests in court unconstitutional. If parliament does not amend the law, the prosecution service will lose the ability to protect state property and the environment. 🏛️ **Bureaucratic Inaction:** Krym states that prosecutors are forced to sue inactive government bodies that ignore the protection of monuments, lands, and forests. 🛡️ **New Tasks:** Over 4.5 years of war, the scope of work has expanded from war crimes to the protection of investments. 📢 **Conclusion:** Debates about the prosecution service's "too broad powers" fail to account for the reality where other state bodies often abdicate the protection of the country's interests.
