More than 16 Ukrainian Railways trains are running behind schedule, with the maximum delay of services from Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia exceeding 15 hours. The disruptions are linked to the aftermath of the attack on railway infrastructure on 17 September.

From 17 September, new rules for the operation of Ukrzaliznytsia and stations during air alerts have been in force in Ukraine: under the yellow level trains continue to run, while under the red level boarding is suspended and people are moved into shelters.

AsMAP explained how strikes on border infrastructure affect queues, routes, and drivers' readiness. The main problems are the Moldovan and Polish borders; some procedures are being moved to the territory of Poland and Moldova.

From September 20, 2026, the Shehyni – Medyka border crossing will be closed to buses from Ukraine due to repairs on the Polish side. Routes will be redirected to other checkpoints, approximately until November 2027.

On September 9, Kyiv launched in test mode a new algorithm for the operation of the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line under the yellow threat level. From September 10 it will become permanent.
