The US has officially withdrawn from the Council of Europe's anti-corruption body GRECO as part of the White House's policy to exit international organizations.

PACE has adopted a resolution urging member states to direct at least 10% of Ukraine recovery funds to support veterans and people with disabilities.

The PACE Legal Affairs Committee approved a draft resolution on the creation of a mechanism to transfer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine on the basis of ECHR rulings. The vote on the document is scheduled for 30 September 2026.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tikhii stated that 2027 will be the year of the practical launch of the Special Tribunal on Russia's aggression. By September 2026, 36 Council of Europe countries, the EU, Australia, and Costa Rica had expressed their intention to accede to the agreement.
