Denmark is accelerating the delivery of a new 1.8 billion krone military aid package to Ukraine to strengthen its air defense. The decision was made after an incident with a Russian frigate near Gødser, which Copenhagen called a provocation.

A Russian frigate in international waters near Gedser fired two signal flares toward a Danish Fennec helicopter. Denmark called the incident serious and summoned the Russian ambassador.
