UMP President Kalenkov warned of the risk of freight transport halting in frontline regions due to a shortage of locomotives and crews. A "Railway Ramstein" is needed to stabilize the situation.

From September 15, Ukrzaliznytsia introduced a six-zone fare system for suburban trains in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr Oblasts. The ticket price now depends on the distance of the trip.

On September 2, Ukrzaliznytsia is recording delays of up to 10 hours 48 minutes for a number of trains — the record concerns the Lozova–Lviv service. The cause of the disruptions is the nighttime Russian ballistic strike on the railway infrastructure of Kyiv.

The Ukrzaliznytsia app has reached 7 million users, and the share of online ticket sales has hit 71% — a record figure among European state rail operators. Over the year, the audience grew by 40%, and 67 million tickets were sold through the service.

Ukraine's infrastructure minister reported five Russian attacks on the railway: a passenger was killed in a drone strike on an electric train in Kharkiv region, and four were injured. In Odesa region a drone hit a locomotive and the passengers were evacuated.

"Ukrzaliznytsya" has approved an updated Privacy Policy, defining the procedure for collecting and protecting passengers' personal data when using electronic services and purchasing tickets.
