The expansion of the "Alabuga-Volokno" plant in Tatarstan will allow Russia to produce 28,000 more suicide drones annually by 2029 — a 78% increase. The plans have been confirmed by satellite imagery and intelligence data.

The Financial Times reports that Iran requested modernized jet-powered 'Geran' drones from Russia for strikes on the US and Israel; Kyiv acknowledges a shortage of means to intercept them.

RBC-Ukraine: Since August 27, Russia has increased the share of jet-powered 'Geran' drones in raids on Kyiv, and by November plans to raise it to 80% through expanded production capacity.

Kirill Lyukov, an expert from the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, explained why jet-powered 'Geran' UAVs have become the main challenge for Ukraine's short-range air defense and which countermeasures remain effective.

The Russian MoD announced on the morning of August 27 an attack on Ukraine by "new elusive" Geran drones, without disclosing their differences. Ukrainian air defense and the ZIRKA and Sting-2 interceptors are already recording the downing of Geran-4 and Geran-5.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported strikes on a Russian drone storage and launch base, command posts, and six ground-based relays in Crimea that provided communication with 'Geran' drones.
