The GUR reported Russia's first use of the upgraded 9M723-2 'Iskander-1000' ballistic missile in a strike on Kyiv. The new weapon's range reaches 550 km. On the night and during the day of August 27, the capital was again subjected to attacks.

The Office of the President revealed the origin of foreign components in Russia's Iskander and RM-48U ballistic missiles: French gyroscopes, American electronics, and CNC machine tools from seven countries.

Zelensky announced the destruction of an Iskander launch unit near the border within the 'hunt' operation on Russian ballistics. The statement came after a massive strike on Kyiv on the night of August 20.

Aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap stated that Ukraine will be able to effectively destroy Russian 'Iskander' OTMS only after receiving its own serial-produced ballistics. Missiles like the FP-7 will be able to intercept launchers faster than aviation can react, forcing the enemy to abandon deployment to positions. 🚀🇺🇦
