Latvian Prime Minister Kulbergs announced that Macron has agreed to begin negotiations on Riga's accession to the French nuclear deterrence initiative and to strengthen the military presence in the country, especially in the area of air defense.

Estonia has begun negotiations with France on joining the Paris initiative to strengthen nuclear deterrence. Prime Minister Kristen Michal called deepening nuclear cooperation "likely" against the backdrop of similar steps by Lithuania, Finland, and Poland.

On September 6, Kim Jong Un commissioned the DPRK Navy's second destroyer, the Kang Gon, with a displacement of about 5,000 tons, announcing its integration into the nuclear deterrence system. The ceremony was held at the port of Wonsan.
