On September 9, 2026, the dollar rose in Ukrainian banks to 44.80–45.00 UAH, and the euro to 52.20–52.35 UAH. PrivatBank, Oschadbank, PUMB, and Monobank updated their quotes; the most favorable purchase and sale rates depend on the service channel.

The National Bank of Ukraine reported a technical glitch when publishing the official hryvnia exchange rate for September 8 and has already corrected the data on its website. Experts do not expect sharp swings in the cash foreign exchange market.

Taras Lesovoy, an expert at Globus Bank, forecasts the dollar rate for September 7–13 to be in the range of 44.4–44.8 UAH on the interbank. The NBU will continue interventions amid business preparation for the autumn-winter season.

As of September 1, 2026, the dollar at exchange offices fell to 44.76 UAH, and the euro — to 52.00 UAH. Banks maintained a spread in rates: the most favorable dollar purchase rate is offered by PrivatBank, while the best sale rates are at PUMB and Oschadbank.

The NBU set the dollar rate for September 1 at 44.52 UAH and the euro at 51.63 UAH. An expert warned of possible short-term spikes in demand for cash currency at the start of the month due to seasonal and news-related factors.

In the morning of August 31, 2026, the average dollar rate at Ukrainian exchange offices was 44.81 UAH, while the euro fell to 52.10 UAH. The most favorable dollar sale rate is offered by PUMB (44.70 UAH), and for the euro — by PrivatBank for cards (51.08 UAH).

Taras Lesovoy, an expert from Globus Bank, forecast the dollar rate for early September in the 44.6–45.2 UAH corridor. Import demand may exceed supply by 15–20%, but the NBU compensates for the shortage with interventions of up to $1 billion per week.
