IDP housing assistance continues to be paid on the 15th and 28th: 3,000 hryvnias to children and persons with disabilities, 2,000 — to others. Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 709 has strengthened control: in case of data discrepancies in the registers, payments are automatically suspended.

Ukraine has presented a bill on systematic support for IDPs: a comprehensive assistance pathway from evacuation to housing and employment, a new status, and expanded payments. The document will be refined in a working group.

From 1 August 2026, the principle of “one family — one mechanism of state support” is in effect in Ukraine: an IDP family can use only one housing program. Cabinet Resolution No. 723 deprives of the right to a voucher those who sold their housing or have already received assistance.

Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine can recover part of the PIT for housing rent. To do this, you need to submit a declaration and confirm the absence of own real estate. From 2026, combatants will also get the right to a deduction. 🏠💰🇺🇦

From August 1, 2026, the rules for issuing housing vouchers for IDPs in Ukraine are changing. The Cabinet of Ministers has tightened requirements to direct assistance to those without housing. Some displaced persons may lose the right to support, and using a voucher as a mortgage down payment will only become possible after the adoption of a new law. 🏠📉
