From September 22, water pressure in Chernivtsi will be reduced due to drought. The water withdrawal limit for the utility has been cut by 22% until September 30, and outages are possible on upper floors.

In Odesa, a failure in electrical equipment left parts of the Primorskyi, Kyivskyi, and Khadyzhbeiskyi districts without power, and water supply in two of them has been temporarily suspended. Energy workers and the city hall are working to eliminate the fault.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, water levels in the rivers feeding the city's water intakes have dropped due to drought. Mayor Ruslan Marcynkiv has urged residents to conserve water: the peak of the shortage is expected in late September.

On August 20, massive emergency power outages occurred in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In the Chernihiv region, about 200,000 subscribers were left without light, while in Sumy, the disconnection of the water utility caused water supply disruptions.

The main reasons are the rise in prices for fuel, electricity, and wages since 2021.
