Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional €100 million to reconstruct water, energy, and transport infrastructure and strengthen resilience against attacks.

Germany and the UK are preparing an air defense roadmap for Ukraine ahead of the November 17 Ramstein meeting. Berlin and London are searching for additional Patriot missiles amid slow deliveries from the US.

NATO has scheduled a new meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group for November 17, 2026, at the alliance's headquarters in Brussels. Britain and Germany will act as moderators, with air defense supplies at the center of the agenda.

At the virtual 'Ramstein' on September 8, allies committed to delivering 300 Patriot missiles to Ukraine before winter through the PURL program and national reserves. Germany will donate PAC-2 missiles, although the program's funding is still 2 billion dollars below the target.

German Defense Minister Pistorius warned at the Ramstein meeting that Russia will intensify airstrikes on Ukraine with the onset of winter, and called on allies to urgently bolster air defense. The Pentagon confirmed: the conflict will be protracted.

At the 36th 'Rammstein' meeting, Pistorius announced the urgent delivery of PAC2, AIM-9 and IRIS-T missiles for Ukraine's air defense before winter. The purchase of additional missiles will be financed through the 90-billion-euro EU defense loan.

Ukraine has handed NATO an up-to-date list of its air and missile defense needs ahead of the 'Ramstein'-format meeting on 8 September. Kyiv stresses: the timeliness of deliveries matters more than volumes.

Alona Hetmanchuk, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, stated that the “Ramstein” reform has made the work of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group continuous, despite the change in leadership at Ukraine's Ministry of Defence.

Ukraine's Minister of Defense Hennadii Hmara discussed with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte the priorities of the upcoming Rammstein meeting: air defense supplies, AFU funding, and the operation of the PURL program.

The Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Germany, Hennadii Khmar and Boris Pistorius, confirmed in a phone call the continuation of support for Kyiv's defense. They discussed air defense, financing, and the joint defense industry.
