The first detailed image of the Apple A20 Pro chip die has been published online: seven GPU cores, a six-core CPU, and a 96-bit memory bus. The debut is expected in the iPhone 18 Pro and the first foldable iPhone.

At Hot Chips 2026, Intel revealed the architecture of Crescent Island: 32 Xe3P cores, 256 XMX matrix engines, up to 480 GB of LPDDR5X, and a 350 W TDP. The accelerator targets cost-efficient AI inference for agentic scenarios; first samples are expected in the second half of 2026.
